Melissa - I have been a lead teacher in various parts of the city for nearly 5 years now. In my role I support all early years settings to ensure that we are offering our children the best possible start in life and help to nurture a passion for learning. I have been working with nurseries, primary schools and childminders to ensure that children are at the heart of all that they do. In doing this, we also ensure that their development and learning is planned and observed effectively so that we know what we can do to help them progress and grow. As a newcomer to Badock's Wood, I am excited to see our huge potential and look forward to working with the team to make our offer of early education even more special.
Emma - I have worked at Badock's Wood Children's Centre for eight years. I started as an agency member of staff and have progressed to centre team lead. I have worked across all ages in the centre, with my main work being alongside the babies. I enjoy watching films, going on holidays and eating out. My favourite part of the job is seeing children I have looked after all grown up in and around Southmead all these years later.
Julie - I've been working in the kitchen for six years and I love it, the job gives me so much enjoyment, I've watched the children grow and develop, Its very rewarding. Two of my four children attended the nursery twenty one years ago, I took part in all the services provided and I'm still here now, working.
Felicity - I have been working for the centre for five years. I really enjoy my job and am very fond of the people I work with and families here. I live locally and am passionate about the services and amenities in Southmead.
Louise - I've worked in all three rooms around the centre for three years now. I have also worked closely with our SEN team.
I enjoy exploring music and instruments with the children and love practicing new songs with them. Outside of work my hobbies are going to the theatre and riding my bike..
