Children In Need this Friday. CLASH YOUR CLOTHES. Please wear anything that clashes to support Children In Need. We have refurbished all our rooms. Have a look and let us know what you think. Thank you for completing our latest questionnaire. Have a look at the results of this on our display at the Centre, and how we plan to improve our Centre, which includes more Forest School activities, and more stay and play activities.

Our Vision

Our Vision for the Early Years

It takes a whole village to raise a child. (African Proverb)

We have agreed as a team, six qualities that we feel we should foster in all children.  These are:

Confident, Inquisitive, Sociable, Empathetic, Expressive, Determined

We aim to provide the highest quality care and education for all our children, so giving them a strong foundation for their future learning.

We believe that children learn through play and have a right (spelled out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child) to learn through play, in a safe, exciting and inspiring environment. Children will only engage in purposeful play if we plan using our observations of each child’s needs, interests and stage of development. We work closely with all families, because you know your child better than anyone. This enables us to provide each child with a range of carefully planned, and exciting learning opportunities that will support them throughout their time at Badock’s Wood.

We want all children to develop a love of life-long learning and this is facilitated by skilful adults and our enabling environment, nurturing all to reach their full potential.

We look forward to getting to know you and your child and we are readily available to answer any questions you may have.
